These dark chocolate cornflake clusters (a healthy twist on "roses des sables") are the perfect crispy, chocolatey snack — without the guilt. Quick and easy to make, they’re refined sugar-free, gluten-free, and 100% vegan. Here’s why they’re as good for your body as they are for your mood:

Ingredient Benefits

Dark chocolate (70–90%)

Rich in antioxidants, dark chocolate supports mood and helps protect your cells from oxidative stress. The higher the cocoa content, the lower the sugar.

Unsweetened cornflakesA source of fiber and complex carbs, they add crunch while providing long-lasting energy.

Coconut oil

Gives a silky, melt-in-your-mouth texture and contains medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) — fats that are quickly used by the body as fuel.

INGREDIENTS
  • 100 g dark chocolate (70–90%)

  • 100 g unsweetened cornflakes

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

    Tips & Variations:

    • Try with coconut-infused, salted, or spiced dark chocolate

    • Add chopped almonds, hazelnuts, or seeds for extra crunch

DIRECTIONS
  1. Melt the chocolate (in a double boiler or microwave).

  2. Stir in the melted coconut oil.

  3. Add the cornflakes and mix until well coated.

  4. Use a spoon to form small clusters on a plate or place in mini muffin molds.

  5. Let them harden at room temperature, or place in the fridge to set faster.

Storage

To keep them crunchy and fresh:

  • Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container if room temperature is too warm (especially in summer or a hot kitchen).

  • Otherwise, you can keep them at room temperature in a cool, dry place — always in an airtight container.

  • These cornflake clusters keep well for up to 1 month.
