Health Benefits of the Ingredients
Chickpea flour: naturally gluten-free, rich in plant-based protein, fiber, and minerals like iron and magnesium.
Poppy seeds: optional, but packed with calcium, magnesium, and healthy fats.
Olive oil: a heart-healthy fat that adds moisture and flavor.

Poppy Seed Crackers (or Not!) – Vegan & Gluten-Free
INGREDIENTS – makes about 20 crackers
130 g chickpea flour
45 ml water
15 g poppy seeds (optional)
1/2 teaspoon salt
15 g olive oil
INSTRUCTIONS – Quick & Easy
Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F).
In a bowl, combine the chickpea flour, salt, and poppy seeds (if using).
Add the olive oil, then slowly pour in the water while kneading until you get a smooth, soft dough.
Roll out the dough very thinly (about 2–3 mm) between two sheets of parchment paper or on a floured silicone mat.
Cut into shapes using a cookie cutter (about 3 cm / 1.2 in) or a knife.
Place the crackers on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 10–15 minutes, until golden and crispy.
Let them cool before enjoying or storing in an airtight container.
Tips & Variations
Add herbs or spices like rosemary, cumin, turmeric, or smoked paprika for extra flavor.
Swap poppy seeds with sesame, flax, or keep them plain—they're delicious either way.
